Navajo ring with a big beautiful Lapis Lazuli stone set in sterling silver.
 

This ring is representative of Navajo silversmithing : the setting of the stone is surrounded by a silver twisted wire, reminding the lasso and the fact that in Native culture the stone must be tamed like a wild animal. This beautiful stone is enhanced by a five-shank ring, giving an elegant openwork effect on the phalanx.
