Stunning old Zuni ring featuring a Rainbow Dancer made in an inlay of turquoise, coral, black-jet and mother-of-pearl, on sterling silver. 

This ring is an exceptional piece, featuring a beautiful Zuni inlay. It is certainly several decades old and has already been worn and therefore has its own history. 

Zuni inlay is a highly meticulous Native jewelry process: the artist creates a design of his or her choice by cutting and assembling several types of stones (most often turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl and black-jet) to create a unique motif. The whole is then polished, for a smooth and elegant finish.

Rainbow Dancer is a Zuni deity leaning to one side, imitating the shape of a rainbow. It symbolizes the colors of paradise, but above all summer rain, an extremely positive element in the eyes of the Natives, since it is synonymous with a good harvest.
