One of a Kind piece - Navajo pendant

Navajo pendant made of a beautiful Sonoran Gold turquoise (Arizona) set on sterling silver.

This piece reflects the traditional work of the Navajos: The turquoise is surrounded by a thin silver cord, reminiscent of the lasso and the fact that in Native culture the stone is considered to be tamed like a wild animal. Accompanied by smooth spheres and a small silver tube open at one end, this composition is reminiscent of Squash Blossom, ceremonial necklaces emblematic of Native American culture. The term “Squash Blossom” refers to the budding of squash flowers.
