This belt buckle is a beautiful example of Navajo jewelry. The artist created it using various traditional silverworking techniques for which the Navajo are renowned:

This magnificent buckle has a rectangular shape and is adorned with four mustache motifs (emblematic of Navajo jewelry). These mustache motifs are created using the Repousse technique, a traditional process that involves hammering the silver from the back of the piece to create a raised design on the front. This technique requires expertise and precision to achieve a uniform and harmonious volume.

This beautiful buckle is also fully chased and embossed by hand with various motifs and the whole piece is oxidized to give even more structure and cachet to this jewel, which perfectly couples matte and shiny silver. Admire all these details. Each design is the artist's own creation, each punch made with the "perfect gesture" that guarantees the same depth for each motif.
