One of a Kind piece - Navajo bracelet

Navajo bracelet with a beautiful Kingman turquoise (Arizona) set in sterling silver.

This bracelet is representative of the traditional Navajo silversmithing: The turquoise is surrounded by a twist wire, reminding a lasso and the need to tame the stone like a wild animal. Native patterns are stamped to adorn the shank and various shapes (smooth spheres, crescent moons, triangles) are soldered, framing the turquoise and enhancing its beauty.

The ends of this bracelet are finely engraved with a Native American-inspired motif: a central diamond shape from which delicate rays of sunlight emanate.

This bracelet is made using the Repousse technique, a traditional Navajo jewelry-making process recognized by its domed elements surrounded by oxidized silver stamps, whose dark hue gives this piece character and structure.
