- The Originals
One of a Kind piece
Superb Navajo bracelet with a beautiful rectangular Number 8 turquoise (Nevada) set in sterling silver.
This bracelet is a signature piece full of character and originality:
The outer part is soldered with many pieces of silver finely hand-chiseled. We can recognize the shape of the concha (these small round and curved pieces, striated on their entire surface) and the one of the shell (more precisely the shape of the scallop shell, very present in the Navajo jewelry). Thin silver cables create small spirals, reminiscent of squash blossom shoots (squash being an essential foodstuff for the Natives). All of these symbolic elements are framed by several small, smooth, chiseled silver spheres, adding even more detail to this characterful piece.
The inside of the bracelet is stamped with designs that are the artist's own creations: the arrowheads (symbol of protection) and rug patterns (geometric designs often found on Native rugs and weavings).
The whole is oxidized, emphasizing the care of the details and the finesse of realization of this beautiful bracelet.
