Stunning Navajo ring
This magnificent sterling silver Navajo ring is inlaid with Kingman (Arizona) turquoise.
Inlay is a Native jewelry-making process, mastered by the Zuni tribe, but here carefully crafted by a Navajo silversmith: genuine gemstones, are cut and assembled by hand to create a geometric pattern. The whole is polished to a smooth, elegant finish.
This type of marquetry is called "channel inlay" and can be recognized by the fine silver bars that compartmentalize the stones.
Width: 0.4cm
