Navajo Ring

Elegant Navajo ring in sterling silver, adorned with onyx stones.

These beautiful onyx stones, with their attractive serrated edges, are held in place by a silver lasso.

The artist has framed the cabochons with small silver spheres and leaves. These leaves are a fine example of Applique work, a technique emblematic of Navajo jewelry. It consists of carving shapes inspired by nature (such as feathers, leaves, or squash blossoms) into thin sheets of silver, then soldering them onto a smooth base.

The ring itself is formed of two thin silver branches joined together, creating a pretty openwork effect that allows the skin to show through.
