Stunning Zuni ring in sterling silver featuring beautiful inlay work depicting a parrot perched on a branch.

This beautiful parrot showcases the incredible craftsmanship of Native American artists. It is made primarily of coral. The animal's face is inlaid with black-jet and mother-of-pearl. The wing, depicted on the ring, is inlaid with mother-of-pearl and Sleeping Beauty turquoise (Arizona). The leaves on the branch are inlaid with opal, while the branch itself is inlaid with black-jet, with small details that give it a realistic effect. The whole piece forms an absolutely charming scene, crafted with extreme finesse and precision, emblematic of high-quality Zuni jewelry.

The Zuni inlay is a composition of real stones (most often turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl and jet), cut, sculpted and assembled by hand with great care to create a pattern of the artist's choice. The whole is then polished, for a smooth and elegant finish.
