BA1403 navajo silver ring
- The Originals
One of a Kind Piece
As a start: WOW, just wow, the first word we think or say when we see such an exceptional piece.
This stunning and very special ring is the creation of Curtis Pete, a renowned and award-winning Navajo-Hopi silversmith. This great artist is known and respected by his peers and by the collectors.
Curtis Pete's jewelry is unmistakable for the strength of its detail, its unparalleled embossing and relief elements. First, admire the textured rendering the artist has created on this hatted face: where some artists would use a mold to achieve this effect, Curtis Pete creates it entirely by hand, using a multitude of tiny stitches to create this delicate relief. Imagine the number of hours spent on this jewel if you add to that every stamp and every little piece welded onto the skull, the hat and even the bandana: millimetric precision, flawless aesthetics.
Every detail is great: the shape of the sunglasses, the earrings, the mouth, the nose, the hat ornaments and even the feather... Nothing is left to chance, and together these elements create a ring that leaves us breathless. The same goes for the shank, composed of eight flat silver branches joined into one, itself embossed with beautiful Natives stamps: crossed arrows, a symbol of friendship, and several shell shapes.
This ring has character and soul! It's a perfect example of the unparalleled talent of its creator.
In short, the images you see here are worth a thousand words, so take a good look... and perhaps fall in love!
This piece is unique of course, like all Curtis Pete jewelry.
