One of a Kind piece - Navajo Pendant
 
A sublime Navajo pendant in the shape of a bear, inlaid with Sleeping beauty turquoise (Arizona), black-jet and sandstone on sterling silver.

The inlay is a composition of real stones (most often turquoise, coral and jet) assembled to compose a geometric or figurative pattern. This pendant offers a nice example of "channel inlay", a marquetry work where the turquoise is compartmentalized by thin silver bars. 

On the other side, an arrow runs through the mouth to the animal's heart, embodying its vital breath, a source of strength and protection in the face of danger. A jewel that combines delicacy and power, for an elegance full of meaning.
