Large Navajo pendant with superb Kingman Ithaca Peak turquoise (Arizona).



Admire this fantastic American turquoise: Ithaca Peak turquoise, renowned for its beauty and rarity, gives birth here to an exceptional pendant. The artist has chosen to design a bold piece designed to captivate the eye. Its nuances, ranging from a delicate blue to a deep, intense blue, are enhanced by inclusions of black matrix, quartz and pyrite, giving it a unique and striking character.

The turquoise is delicately encircled by a thin, shiny silver cord, evoking a lasso - a nod to Native American culture, where the stone is considered to be tamed like a wild animal.

Slightly raised thanks to a smooth, streamlined setting, the stone is elegantly highlighted.

The setting of the pendant is based on a play of levels, structured in three tiers designed to accentuate the natural beauty of the turquoise. This visual rhythm is reinforced by the artist's subtle use of rounded shapes and delicately chiselled lines. The first and last levels repeat similar motifs, while the central level is distinguished by a slight variation.
