A beautiful Pueblo necklace, made up of twenty strands of Heishi beads crafted from Kingman turquoise (Arizona). These beautiful turquoise stones date back to the 1980s.

The process to make Heishi beads is long and meticulous: stones, shells or other raw materials are first cut, then pierced and strung on a wire, before the artist grinds the strand on a grinding wheel to form the Heishi beads.

The quality of genuine Heishi beads can be recognized by their uniformity and smoothness to the touch.
