One of a Kind piece - Navajo necklace 

This beautiful Navajo necklace is made of Kingman turquoise (Arizona) Heishi beads and brushed oxidized silver beads enhanced with beautiful tubular coral beads.

The silver beads on this necklace are very representative of Navajo beadwork: There are beads of different diameters, such as small round beads and larger ones.

The making of Heishi beads is also long and meticulous: stones, shells or other raw materials are first cut, then pierced and strung on a wire, then the artist sands this string on a grinding wheel to form the Heishi beads.
