Bear carved in jet, his eyes inlaid with American turquoise.


This pretty little bear is embellished with a small turquoise pearl and several shells, giving it strength and protection.

The bear is a symbol of strength, health and knowledge.

In a time when the Zuni tribe lived from agriculture and hunting, the hunters could'nt do without these amulets and would never forget to bring them during their expeditions. The fetishes assure benevolence of the soul.
