In this case, these butterflies are a signature piece by a renowned Zuni artist, known for her great and inspiring inlay work.Inlay is a Zuni jewelry process in which real stones (most often turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl and black-jet) are cut and assembled by hand to create a geometric or figurative pattern.

The whole piece is polished to a smooth, elegant finish.
