Traditional concho belt crafted from sterling silver and black cowhide leather, featuring a stunning buckle adorned with Kingman turquoise (Arizona), accompanied by eight conchos and eight butterfly motifs.

The buckle showcases numerous details characteristic of Native American jewelry. The edges, alternately chiseled or delicately serrated, frame a finely crafted composition. The motifs, handcrafted and then lightly oxidized, create a subtle interplay of relief and contrast. Smooth or chiseled spheres add rhythm to the design, while a few shells delicately highlight the presence of the turquoise stones.

The concho belt is an iconic piece of Navajo jewelry. This traditional belt, which has become legendary, is characterized by oval or round pieces (called conchos) and others shaped like butterflies, secured with copper clasps onto a genuine leather strap.

On this magnificent earring, the conchos and butterflies beautifully showcase the repoussé technique, a hallmark of Navajo jewelry.
