This charming Christmas bauble is a handmade pottery, representative of the style of pottery created by the Navajo, called “etched pottery”.

The potters who make etched pottery shape those baubles and then paint them in beautiful colors (usually gradations of complementary tones). These pieces are then hand-engraved with natural or geometric motifs.
Our Christmas baubles are produced in limited editions, with the utmost care and craftsmanship. Each bauble has a rich hidden history. Every piece is unique, crafted with love and attention to detail.

The etchings on these Navajo ceramic baubles represent a multitude of themes. These artisans draw inspiration from nature. Admire the magnificent mountains through their pyramidal shapes, swirls representing rain and water, not to mention eagle feathers, which have significant meaning for Native Americans. Each symbol is engraved by the potter using a very precise traditional technique.
