Superb Navajo bracelet with a beautiful Cerillos turquoise (New Mexico) set in mat sterling silver.

This bracelet shows the Applique handcraft, a well-known process in Navajo silversmithing. The traditional Applique technique includes shapes such as leaves, feathers, and flowers cut from silver sheets and then soldered onto an underlying piece. This bracelet, while using this process, has a more refined contemporary look. 

Another recognizable sign of Navajo silversmithing is the little silver twist wire surrounding the turquoise. It shows the stone needs to be tamed as a wild animal.
