Stunning Zuni bracelet made of a beautiful "Cactus Flower" in Sleeping Beauty turquoises (Arizona) set in sterling silver.

This bracelet is a signature piece by Lorraine Waatsa, a renowned Zuni artist. A specialist in clusterwork, she carries on the traditional techniques of Zuni jewelry-making, inherited from her parents and grandparents. Since the 1970s, her work has been distinguished by the precision and delicacy of every detail, reflecting a craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation.

This Cactus Flower is delicately encircled by small lapis lazuli stones, each set with a serrated setting and adorned with fine, smooth spheres. At the center of the bracelet, a thin silver cord evokes a lasso, a symbol in Native American culture of mastery over stones, tamed like wild animals. All these elements rest on a solid silver setting, where two branches meet to create an elegant openwork effect on the wrist.

This bracelet perfectly illustrates the Zuni Needlepoint technique, a meticulous and refined craft in which turquoise stones are hand-cut into small teardrops or baguettes and arranged with exceptional precision.
