One of a kind piece
Stunning Navajo bracelet inlaid with sandstone, turquoise, opals (white and red), gaspeite and jet on sterling silver.
Inlay is a native jewelry-making technique initiated by the Zuni, in which some Navajo jewelers excel. Here, the artist uses the micro-inlay technique to pay tribute to a high point in Native American culture. The setting is set: a starry night comes to life in the deep black of jet, finely inlaid with delicate silver points.
Among these stars, planets emerge, each inlaid with a carefully chosen stone: turquoise, red opal, gaspeite... and a larger white opal, a tribute to the moon. The opal reveals subtle shooting stars, like celestial messengers.
Below, a view of a pueblo village (the Adobe Houses), recognizable by its flat roofs and natural hues. A reference to the Earth, while the sky dances.
This connection between the cosmos and the spirits, evokes the Night Ceremony, a sacred nocturnal ritual among the Pueblo peoples. A celebration of the harmony between man, nature and the spirits, this age-old ceremony combines song, dance and invisible presences.
The bracelet's unique design is steeped in history and emblematic of cutting-edge Native jewelry. We can't wait to see who the lucky owner will be!
