One of a kind piece - Navajo belt

A belt crafted from sterling silver and black leather, featuring a stunning buckle adorned with Sonoran turquoise (Arizona).

The buckle stands out for its delicate design, enhanced by a magnificent Sonoran turquoise set in a smooth setting. A thin silver cord encircles the stone, elegantly highlighting its shape.

Throughout the belt, the design is centered around a balanced cross motif, extended by four elements inspired by the fleur-de-lis. It is also accented with a beautiful Sonoran turquoise. Together, they create a harmonious and structured composition.

The number four, at the heart of the design, evokes the four seasons, the four stages of life, the four states of mind, and the four times of day, defining the perfect balance for complete harmony.

An elegant creation, where every detail finds its place with precision.

Each design is created using the "Sandcast" technique, one of the oldest methods used by the Navajo people. The artist uses a mold made of hardened sand (sandcast), which he divides into two parts. One of these parts is carved with a design of his choice, into which he pours molten silver. The second part covers this design and is securely attached to the first. Once the silver has hardened, the piece is removed from the mold. The resulting jewelry has an antique and unique appearance, showcasing the characteristic rough edges of the sandcast technique.

Each silver piece is lined at the back with an equally sized piece of leather. As all the elements of this belt are removable, you can insert it into the loops of jeans and other garments.
