One of a Kind piece

Navajo ring with a Kingman turquoise (Arizona) set in sterling silver.  

The turquoise is in a smooth setting, only decorated with fine lateral cuts emblematic of Navajo jewelry.  

The shank of this ring is made with the Applique process, a technique also emblematic of Navajo silversmithing, recognizable by the shell shapes on either side of the turquoise that are chiseled into thin silver plates and then soldered onto the ring.
