Navajo ring with a Thunder Blue turquoise (Nevada) set in brushed mat sterling silver.
 

This ring is representative of the traditional Navajo silversmithing: the turquoise is set in a hand-carved setting and is surrounded by a silver twist wire, reminding the lasso and the fact Native Americans consider the turquoise has to be tamed like a wild animal.
