One of a Kind piece

Beautiful Navajo ring with a Sonoran Gold turquoise (Arizona) set in sterling silver.
 

This ring is representative of Navajo silversmithing : the turquoise is surrounded by a thin silver twisted wire, reminding the lasso and the fact that for the Natives, the stone must be tamed like a wild animal. 

The shank is made of five thin silver strands joint in one and adorned by little silver palms.
