Beautiful and original Navajo oval pendant, made of variscite, coral and jet inlay on sterling silver. 

Inlay work is a composition of real stones (most often turquoise, coral and jet) assembled in order to compose a geometrical or figurative pattern. Here this pendant offers a nice example of "channel inlay", a marquetry work where the stones are compartmentalized by thin silver bars.
