Navajo "Buffalo skull" pendant, made with the "Chip Inlay" process. 

The buffalo, symbol of plentiness and endurance is also known to fulfill wishes. Its skull head reminds the famous Western desert. 

What is Chip Inlay?  

Chip Inlay is a method where cavities in Navajo jewelry are filled with a mixture of crushed gemstone and epoxy resin fitted with hand, like this pendant. The piece is then smoothly polished after the resin has hardened. 

This pendant is made in sterling silver.
