Beautiful Nike x Pendleton blanket (also called "honoring robe").

This design is called 7 Generations and illustrates the past, present and future of the Navajo Nation. The diamond in the center represents the impact of each person on the three generations before and after (arrowhead designs on either side of the diamond). Around it, the storm motif is realized: the zigzag designs honor the notion of heritage and transmission. The rest of the composition is dazzling and echoes the Four Sacred Mountains and the staircase patterns show the way to overcome life's challenges. The colors are inspired by the natural ancestral dyes used by the ancestors to reflect the landscapes of the American Southwest. This design is by Tracie Jackson, a 4th generation Diné (Navajo) artist, currently designing for Nike.
