Sterling silver lighter case set with Kingman turquoises (Arizona).

This lighter case is representative of Navajo jewelry: the side with the turquoises is made with the Applique technique, a process recognizable by squash blossoms and leaves (squash being an essential crop for the Natives), chiseled in thin silver plates and then soldered to a smooth frame. The other side of the case is decorated with  beautiful prints.
