Beautiful Navajo earrings made of spondylus and turquoise inlay on sterling silver.

The spondylus (also called "spiny oyster") is a shell which has the particularity to be declined in beautiful orange, red or even purple colors. We have these three examples here.

These earrings are a beautiful example of the inlay process called "Cobble Inlay".

"Cobble" refers to the cobblestone, a perfect name for this thick work, which although contemporary imitates the ancient technique of mosaic.
