Navajo earrings made of Blue Gem turquoises (Nevada) set in sterling silver.

These turquoises are hand-carved in round and triangular shapes. 

These earrings are representative of one of the styles of Navajo silversmithing: The setting of the turquoises remind a wire like a lasso, because in Native culture it is considered that the stone must be tamed like a wild animal.
