Navajo Brooch in sterling silver.
This lovely brooch represents two iconic elements of the American Southwestern desert: a Saguaro cactus (pronounced "sah-wah-roh") with a small coyote at its base.
The entire cactus is stamped with Native designs to represent its thorns, but it turns out that these designs are also arrowheads, a symbol of protection. The coyote has a thin arrow going from its mouth to its heart, symbol of its breath of life, supposed to allow it to control and dominate its predators.
Dimensions (L x W) : 4,4cm x 3cm
