One of a Kind piece

The handmade Zuni inlay is often a gathering of different stones (turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl, black jet), carved and put together in order to create a thin geometrical pattern. The piece is then polished in order to give a smooth and elegant finish to the jewel. 

The modern style and the precision of this designer ring is particularly impressive. What we can see here is a channel inlay work, meaning the artist creates soldered silver compartments within the backing, filled with perfectly sized and carved pieces of stones (turquoise in this particular case).
